The MMK Museum of Modern Art Frankfurt am Main is one of the world’s most important museums of contemporary art. With its large solo exhibitions and its more than 5,000 works comprehensive collection of international contemporary art, the MMK since its opening in 1991, a major attraction for art lovers.
The expansion of the MMK in the autumn of 2014 marks a milestone in the history of the museum: An additional area of around 2,000 square meters in the newly built TaunusTurm in the middle of Frankfurt’s financial district enables the MMK to present larger parts of its collection than previously possible.
