Wachenburg Castle

Weinheim

Weinheim’s second castle was built during the period 1907-1928 almost on the summit of the Wachenburg and is the youngest castle in the Bergstrasse region. It is a memorial and meeting place for the Weinheim Senior Convention and its active student corps. The Castle Tavern (Mon & Tues closed) and a magnificent panoramic view make the ascent, whether on foot or by car, well worthwhile.
